Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a polarizing plate, etc., that is capable of suppressing generation of cracks and growth of cracks caused by environmental fluctuations such as temperature changes. This polarizing plate is formed by stacking a polarizing plate protection film and a polarizer in this order. The polarizing plate protection film contains a matting agent, and a cycloolefin-based resin having a polar group. The mathematical product of the elastic modulus and the toughness of the polarizing plate protection film satisfies a specific relationship. The difference ∆tanδ between the loss tangent tanδ of the polarizing plate protection film and the loss tangent tanδ of the polarizer satisfies a specific relationship within the range of -40 to 95°C.
