Abstract:
A polyethylene powder is a polyethylene powder for which the component proportion R and relaxation time T for each component satisfy < condition (1) > and < condition (2) > when the free induction decay curve yielded by the Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill method in pulsed NMR is subjected to three component approximation. < condition (1) > The entanglement index at 180°C given by (formula I) is 12-25 ms. (formula I): (entanglement index) = Tα x Rα/(Rα + Rβ) + Tβ x Rβ/(Rα + Rβ). In the formula I, Tα represents relaxation time for low-mobility component α (ms), Ra represents proportion for low-mobility component α (%), Tβ represents relaxation time for intermediate component β (ms), and Rβ represents proportion for intermediate component β (%). < condition (2) > The intermediate component proportion at 180°C given by (formula II) is 0.25-0.5. (formula II): (intermediate component proportion) = Rβ/(Rα + Rβ)
