An imide resin composition comprising a terminal-modified imide oligomer represented by general formula (1) and an aromatic thermoplastic polyimide represented by general formula (2). (In formula (1), one of R1 and R2 represents a phenyl group and the other represents a hydrogen atom; R3 and R4 independently represent a bivalent residue of an aromatic diamine; R5 and R6 independently represent a tetravalent residue of an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid; m and n satisfy the relationship represented by the formulae m ≥ 1, n ≥ 0, 1 ≤ m+n ≤ 20 and 0.05 ≤ m/(m+n) ≤ 1; and the sequence of repeating units may be of a block form or a random form.)
