Abstract:
In the present invention, a power conversion device is provided with a switch which is provided to an electrical circuit linked to an alternating current system, an AC/DC conversion unit provided between the switch and a DC bus, a DC/DC conversion unit provided between the DC bus and a storage cell, and a control unit for controlling the two conversion units. The control unit: makes comparison between the absolute value of an alternating current voltage target value based on an alternating current voltage and a direct current voltage target value based on a storage cell voltage; executes a control scheme wherein a period for stepping up by means of a switching operation where either the AC/DC conversion unit or the DC/DC conversion unit predominates and a period for stepping down by means of a switching operation where the other predominates occur in alternation, on the basis of the relationship of magnitude thereof; and, at the start of charging/discharging of the storage cell, the switch is closed at the zero cross point of the alternating current voltage, and thereafter charging/discharging is started from the switching operation for stepping down.
