Abstract:
Provided is a power conversion device which includes a diode-equipped transistor and is able to accurately determine whether or not a diode in the diode-equipped transistor is energized. A power conversion device is provided with: a diode-equipped transistor which includes a transistor that is driven by a drive signal inputted to a gate, a diode that is connected in parallel with the transistor with a direction from the emitter to the collector of the transistor being defined as a forward direction, and a sense diode that detects a current flowing through the diode with the cathode thereof connected to the collector of the transistor; a voltage generation unit which, when the diode is not energized, generates voltage having a difference greater than or equal to a predetermined value with respect to a case where the diode is energized between the anode of the diode and the anode of the sense diode; and a determination unit which determines, on the basis of the voltage between the anode of the diode and the anode of the sense diode, whether or not the diode is energized.
