Abstract:

If a brake pedal is stepped on when a value 1 is set to a catalyst deterioration suppression flag Fc and catalyst deterioration suppression control is requested, a motor capable of regulating the rotation speed Ne of an engine to a target rotation speed Ne* while sustaining explosive combustion (firing) of the engine is controlled (S180, S190). Consequently, the rotation speed Ne of the engine can be brought quickly to the target rotation speed Ne* and useless fuel consumption due to high rotation operation of the engine can be suppressed and energy efficiency of a vehicle can be enhanced.
