Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for the preparation of high-purity guaiacol glycidyl ether of formula (I). The present invention further relates to an improved process for the purification of guaiacol glycidyl ether of formula (I). The processes of the present invention are particularly useful for the preparation of ranolazine and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
