Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a production method that is for reduced coenzyme Q10 Form-II type crystals or a crystalline solid thereof and that enables excellent filtering ability of a slurry containing reduced coenzyme Q10 Form-II type crystals. One embodiment of the present invention is a production method that is for reduced coenzyme Q10 Form-II type crystals or a crystalline solid thereof, and that comprises: adding reduced coenzyme Q10 Form-II type crystals as seed crystals to a mixture liquid containing reduced coenzyme Q10 and an alcohol; and precipitating reduced coenzyme Q10 Form-II type crystals in the mixture liquid after the seed crystals have been added. During the precipitation, within at least 80% or more of time of a period in which the formazin turbidity unit (FTU) changes from 1,000 to 10,000, the FTU change rate is maintained at at least 15 FTU/min.
