Abstract:
This raising method is for a carbon nanotube structure body comprising a fixing sheet and a carbon nanotube array having a plurality of carbon nanotubes detached from a growth substrate and oriented in a predetermined direction, wherein at least some of the plurality of carbon nanotubes are embedded in or joined to the fixing sheet. The raising method comprises: the step of preparing a carbon nanotube structure body whereby at least some of the plurality of carbon nanotubes are inclined so as to be folded back relative to the fixing sheet; the step of adhering an adhesive tape onto the carbon nanotube array; and the step of detaching the adhesive tape from the carbon nanotube array to cause the plurality of carbon nanotubes to stand up relative to the fixing sheet.
