Abstract:
This redox flow battery has a positive electrode electrolyte containing a positive electrode active material, and a negative electrode electrolyte containing a negative electrode active material, wherein: the amount of the positive electrode electrolyte and the amount of the negative electrode electrolyte are different from each other; among the positive electrode electrolyte and the negative electrode electrolyte, a liquid amount ratio of an electrolyte having a larger amount of liquid to an electrolyte having a smaller amount of liquid is 1.05 to 5.0; and a charged state of an electrolyte mixture, obtained by mixing the positive electrode electrolyte and the negative electrode electrolyte at the same ratio as the liquid amount ratio, is at least 2%.
