Abstract:
Provided are a relay optical system that excellently corrects chromatic aberration; a rigid scope optical system using the same; and a rigid scope. The relay optical system has a first lens and a second lens. The first and second lenses are arranged upon an optical path in the relay optical system, which is formed by an object-side optical path and an image-side optical path. The lens medium and the focal distance signs each differ for the first and second lenses and when, in a Cartesian coordinate system having a horizontal axis νdLA and a vertical axis θgFLA, a straight line indicated by θgFLA = α ×νdLA + βLA (where α = -0.00163) is set, the first lens medium θgFLA and νdLA are included in an area defined by conditional formulas (1) and (2) and conditional formula (3) is fulfilled. 0.64 <βLA (1); νdLA < 50 (2); -1.4 < mg < -0.6 (3)
