Abstract:
The roundness prediction method for steel pipe according to the present invention predicts, in steel pipe manufacturing steps including a U-press step for forming a steel plate into a formed body having a U-shaped cross section by means of a U-press tool, an O-press step for forming the formed body having a U-shaped cross section into an open pipe, and a pipe expansion step for carrying out forming by means of pipe expansion on the steel pipe obtained by joining ends of the open pipe to each other in the width direction, the roundness of the steel pipe after the pipe expansion step, the steel pipe roundness prediction method including a step for predicting roundness information about the steel pipe after the pipe expansion step by using a roundness prediction model, which is learned by machine learning in which one or more operation parameters selected from operation parameters of the U-press step and one or more operation parameters selected from operation parameters of the O-press step are included as input data, and the roundness information about the steel pipe after the pipe expansion step is set as output data.
