Abstract:
A rubber composition for clinch apex comprising, blended with 100 parts by weight
of rubber component containing 10 to 50 wt.% of natural rubber and/or isoprene
rubber and 50 to 90 wt.% of butadiene rubber exhibiting a Mooney viscosity of 30
to 55 in the unvulcanized state at 100°C, 55 to 75 parts by weight of carbon
black and 1 to 5 parts by weight of p-benzoquinolinediimine. The rubber composition
for clinch apex would realize constant hardness, inhibition of premature vulcanization,
reduction of rolling resistance, improvement of processability, inhibition
of chafing between clinch apex and rim and suppression of rim slippage. Further,
there is provided a pneumatic tire with clinch apex utilizing the same.
