Abstract:
The shaft connection structure of this disclosure is provided with: a cylindrical coupling having axially extending slits in the inner wall surface of the coupling; and a pair of shafts which have, on the outer surfaces thereof , serrations fitted in the slits and which are inserted toward the inside of the coupling from the opposite ends thereof. The shaft connection structure is characterized in that the serrations on the shafts and/or the slits in the coupling have a shape A or a shape B described below.
A: A shape in which the width of at least one serration of each of the pair of shafts is reduced in the direction in which the pair of shafts enters the coupling.
B: A shape in which the width of at least one of the slits is reduced from the ends of the coupling toward the center thereof.
