Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a slope maintenance method that provides both water permeability and water retention and allows flood control measures such as preventing slope erosion due to rainwater. [Solution] Rainwater 7 falling from a rain cloud 6 onto a slope 4 to be maintained in a mountainous region or the like instantly permeates into the soil and water runoff from the slope surface is suppressed. That is, a water-retaining layer 2 is laid on the slope foundation 4, and the runoff of rainwater 7 from the slope surface is suppressed by the water permeability function. Simultaneously, a large volume of rainwater 7 is retained in the water-retaining layer 2 and the erosion of soil dressing on the slope 4 is suppressed. Moreover, surface erosion in which drops of rain 8 falling from structures such as steel towers 9 or the like, overhead lines, and the like scouring in a concentrated manner is suppressed by the water permeability functionality of the water retaining layer 2.
