Title:
SLURRY COMPOSITION FOR LITHIUM ION SECONDARY BATTERY, AND ELECTRODE FOR LITHIUM ION SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/167730
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a slurry composition for a lithium ion secondary battery capable of exhibiting exceptional adhesion (peel strength) and softness (flexibility) in an electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery, and capable of exhibiting exceptional rate characteristics and cycle characteristics in a lithium ion secondary battery. This slurry composition for a lithium ion secondary battery contains a silicon compound and a binding material, wherein: the silicon compound contains at least one of Li2SiO3 and Li4SiO4; the binding material contains a water-soluble polymer; the water-soluble polymer includes at least one of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer unit (A) and an alkali metal salt thereof, and also includes a crosslinkable monomer unit (B); the viscosity of a 1% by mass aqueous solution of the water-soluble polymer is 1000 mPa·s or less; and the pH of the slurry composition for a lithium ion secondary battery is 9-12 inclusive.
