Abstract:
The present invention relates to a soft nitriding method capable of improving wear resistance, fatigue resistance, and the like by diffusing nitrogen and carbon into a metal product, wherein the method comprises: a treatment gas introduction step of introducing ammonia gas and carbonizing gas into a reaction chamber; an ammonia gas decomposition step of decomposing the ammonia gas to generate hydrogen gas; a nitriding potential control step of maintaining the close of a treatment gas feeding part by the hydrogen gas until the nitriding potential value inside the reaction chamber reaches a predetermined first reference value; a carbonizing gas introduction step of introducing the carbonizing gas into the reaction chamber by controlling the treatment gas feeding part; and a carbonizing potential control step of controlling the flow rate of the carbonizing gas introduced into the reaction chamber by the hydrogen gas and the carbonizing gas until the carbonizing potential value inside the reaction chamber reaches a predetermined second reference value.
