Title:
SOLID-STATE IMAGE CAPTURE DEVICE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/181489
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present technology relates to a solid-state image capture device (1) which makes it possible to suppress degradation of dark current while increasing the amount of saturation charge, a method of manufacturing the same, and an electronic apparatus (300). The solid-state image capture device is provided with: a first photoelectric conversion unit formed on an upper surface side of a substrate opposite to a light incident surface side; a second photoelectric conversion unit stacked in a substrate depth direction with respect to the first photoelectric conversion unit; and a pixel separating portion (51) formed in a boundary portion with respect to an adjacent pixel and penetrating through the substrate. The first photoelectric conversion unit includes first plane direction PN-junction regions (42, 43) joined in a plane direction parallel to the light incident surface of the substrate, and first vertical direction PN-junction regions (61, 62) extending along a side wall of the pixel separating portion. The second photoelectric conversion unit includes second plane direction PN-junction regions (45, 46) joined in a plane direction parallel to the light incident surface, and second vertical direction PN-junction regions (61, 63) extending along the side wall of the pixel separating portion. The present technology may be applied to a solid-state image capture device, for example.
