Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a solid-state imaging element capable of performing AD conversion of a pixel signal having a wide dynamic range in a short time. [Solution] A solid-state imaging device according to the present disclosure is provided with: a pixel unit including a photoelectric conversion element for photoelectric conversion of input light into a pixel signal; an AD conversion unit for conversion of the pixel signal from the pixel unit into a digital signal; a first holding circuit provided between the pixel unit and the AD conversion unit to hold a pixel signal; a second holding circuit provided between the pixel unit and the AD conversion unit to hold a pixel signal; and a selecting circuit capable of connecting one of the first and the second holding circuits to the AD conversion unit to selectively transmit the pixel signal held in the first or the second holding circuit to the AD conversion unit.
