Abstract:
Provided is a spherical alumina powder wherein, in a particle size distribution measured by a laser diffraction scattering particle size distribution measuring apparatus, a maximum particle diameter showing a maximum peak is in the range of 35-70 μm, the frequency of the maximum particle diameter is 5-15%, and the cumulative value of the frequency of each particle diameter at 20 points obtained by dividing the particle diameter range of 1-20 μm into 19 equal parts is 3-17 vol%. A resin composition X contains the spherical alumina powder and a vinyl group-containing polymethylsiloxane and contains 88.1 mass% of the spherical alumina powder, and a resin composition Y is the same as the resin composition X except that 79.3 mass% of the spherical alumina powder of the resin composition X is contained and 8.8 mass% of the spherical alumina powder for testing is contained. The ratio (VY/VX) of the viscosity VY of the resin composition Y to the viscosity VX of the resin composition X is 0.85 or more.
