Abstract:
This stereo camera apparatus (30) is provided with: a stereo camera; and a first control unit (33) which detects an object to be detected on the basis of at least a first area (F) among a plurality of areas having different positions in a prescribed direction in an image captured by the stereo camera, interpolates pixels on the basis of at least original pixels forming an image of the detected object to thereby generate interpolated pixels, and detects the distance from a reference position to the position of the detected object on the basis of at least the interpolated pixels. Accordingly, the present invention provides a stereo camera apparatus and a vehicle which can suppress a processing load and detect an object located at a long distance from the vehicle with high precision.
