Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a suction drum device capable of rotationally conveying a sheet-shaped workpiece while stably sucking the workpiece. The present invention includes: a suction drum 21 having a prescribed rotation axis X; a rotation drive mechanism 22 for axially rotating the suction drum 21; and an air sucking mechanism 23 for sucking air. The suction drum 21 has slit grooves 211 formed on a circumferential surface so as to extend along the circumferential direction, and a plurality of suction holes 212 formed in the slit grooves 211. By sucking air through the suction holes 212 by means of the air sucking mechanism 23, negative pressures are generated in inner spaces U of the slit grooves 211, thereby sucking a sheet-shaped workpiece W onto a circumferential surface 21a of the suction drum 21.
