Abstract:
A light source unit which can irradiate an optical sheet uniformly with light
over the entire surface by preventing the optical sheet from creasing or bending,
and a display in which uneven brightness and shadow are eliminated from the screen.
A first supporting member (e.g. a side holder) (14) having a part opposing one
side face of an optical sheet (15) is provided with a first supporting surface
(143) substantially normal to and/or inclining against the plane direction
of the optical sheet (15), a second supporting member (e.g. a frame) (16a) having
a part opposing the other side face of the optical sheet (15) is provided with a
second supporting surface (162a) opposing the first supporting surface (143)
of the first supporting member (14), and the circumferential edge portion of
the optical sheet (15) is clamped between the first supporting surface (143)
of the first supporting member (14) and the second supporting surface (162a)
of the second supporting member (16a), and supported.
