Abstract:

Provided is a tape printing device with which the printing tape variety as well as the content of the printing on dispensed printing tape can be seen, and a tape cartridge that is suitably used in said tape printing device. The tape cartridge (70) is provided with: a printing tape (74) accommodated in a cartridge case (71); a slit-shaped dispensing port (78) from which the printing tape (74) is dispensed; and first and second auxiliary display sections (84A, 86B) provided on the surface of the front wall (71a) of the cartridge case (71) in which the dispensing port (78) is formed and which display characters indicating the printing tape (74) variety. In the first and second auxiliary display sections (84a, 86B), the printing tape (74) variety is displayed as normal image characters with respect to the dispensing port (78) as a horizontal reference and/or as inverted characters in which said normal image characters are vertically inverted.
