Abstract:
[Problem] To detect the fact that a tape cassette is floating when a normal detection result cannot be obtained upon detecting part of the tape cassette to be detected from a printed label-making device side when the tape cassette is mounted on a cassette holder in a slightly floating state. [Solution] This tape cassette (30) has a substantially box-shaped cassette case (31), a film tape spool (41), and a tape discharge port (49), which is disposed on a specific cassette surface (31Ba) and externally discharges a film tape (59) that has been transported, and said tape cassette (30) can be mounted on a cassette mounting part (8) of a printed label-making device (1) by inserting the tape cassette (30) from a cassette bottom surface (31A) side. A cassette detection part (80), which is capable of applying attribute information representing the tape attributes of the film tape (59) on the printed label-making device (1) side, is disposed within a range of a predetermined distance H from the bottom end of the specific cassette surface (31Ba).
