Abstract:
Provided is a thermostat device with which a flow rate of a cooling liquid from a bypass passage can be adequately ensured, and which has excellent temperature sensitivity corresponding to the temperature of the cooling liquid from an engine. A thermo-operating unit 2 is provided with a control valve 2c for controlling an introduction quantity of cooling liquid from a first inflow port 5a via a radiator, in accordance with the temperature of the cooling liquid from a second inflow port 4b via a bypass passage. Within the housing 3 are provided a plurality of guide bodies 4g which are formed extending from the second inflow port 4b side toward a thermoelement 2a, are arranged intermittently around the thermoelement 2a, and which support the thermoelement 2a in such a way as to be capable of moving in an axial direction, and cooling liquid rectifying claws 4h arranged spaced apart from the thermoelement 2a between the guide bodies 4g, wherein a detour passage 4i for the cooling liquid, directed from the second inflow port 4b side toward an outflow port 4c, is formed by forming gap portions between the guide bodies 4g and the cooling liquid rectifying claws 4h.
