Abstract:
This three-dimensional data encoding device generates a plurality of quantized values by quantizing a coefficient value calculated at each of a plurality of nodes included in a layered structure in which a plurality of three-dimensional points are layered, using one or more first parameters for one or more groups to which one or more attribute information items belong, and generates a bit stream including the plurality of quantized values, wherein at least some of the attribute information items belong to one of the one or more groups. During the calculation, two first coefficient values of two first nodes belonging to a first layer are used to calculate a second coefficient value of a second node of a layer above, i.e., a second layer. During the quantization, one or more first parameters are shifted up by N bits (N is a natural number) (S10122), a sum obtained by summing two second parameters of the two first nodes is shifted down by one bit (S10123) and then shifted down by N bits (S10124), and a resultant parameter is used to quantize the second coefficient value (S10125, S10126).
