Abstract:
A tire-gripping device (50) of a tire-mounting machine grasps the bead section of a green tire (T) using chuck paddles (60) and places the green tire (T) outside a cylindrical vulcanization bladder (5) that extends upward. A bladder-operating device (30) of the tire-mounting machine expands the vulcanization bladder (5), presses same on the inner surface of the green tire (T), and fits the green tire (T) in a vulcanization mold. On the lower section of each chuck paddle (60), guide pieces (65a, 65b) are formed extending toward both sides of the circumferential direction. Between adjacent chuck paddles (60), the guide pieces (65a, 65b) extend towards each other and always overlap each other to prevent the expanding vulcanization bladder from contacting the inner circumferential surface of the bead section and stripping the unvulcanized rubber of the green tire (T).
