Abstract:
A small-width large-diameter tire is provided with which it is possible to improve noise suppression performance during high-speed running without impairing the low-temperature handling performance. The tire includes a tread 2 comprising an elastomer composition 2A. The outer diameter Dt of the tire and the cross-section width Wt of the tire satisfy relationship (1). The tread has at least one circumferential-direction groove 10 extending in the circumferential direction of the tire. The rubber thickness at the bottom of the circumferential-direction groove 10 is 0.05-0.25 times the maximum thickness of the tread 2. When the elastomer composition 2A is repeatedly distorted in a dynamic viscoelasticity test under the conditions of a temperature of 30°C and a frequency of 10 Hz, then the phase difference δ between a maximum strain and a maximum stress is 5.0×10-2 π(rad) or less.
