Abstract:
In order to predict a traveling environment by a simple configuration and with good responsiveness, a traveling environment prediction device predicts a vehicle traveling environment that brings a vehicle to a stop. The traveling environment prediction device is provided with: a first stoppage time ratio calculation unit which calculates, as a first stoppage time ratio (short-period stoppage time ratio (RS)), the ratio of a stoppage time in a first period; a second stoppage time ratio calculation unit which calculates, as a second stoppage time ratio (long-period stoppage time ratio (RL)), the ratio of a stoppage time in a second period longer than the first period; and a traveling environment prediction unit which, on the basis of the short-period stoppage time ratio (RS) and the long-period stoppage time ratio (RL), predicts the traveling environment.
