Abstract:
This ultrasonic irradiation device is provided with: an ultrasonic transducer for irradiating the surface of a body from the outside with HIFU that is focused ultrasound; and an optical imaging unit or a camera that captures an image of the surface of the body at a location to be irradiated with ultrasound. An irradiation position guide or a marker is positioned and arranged on the surface of the body, the marker is detected by the camera, and the position and the irradiation angle of the ultrasonic transducer are controlled on the basis of position information for the marker. As a result, it is possible to guide a therapeutic transducer to a suitable irradiation position and to monitor the state of the surface of a body during ultrasonic irradiation.
