Abstract:
This variable-capacity supercharger is provided with: a turbine housing including a scroll flow channel, a cylinder part having a shroud surface facing vanes of a turbine wheel, and an exhaust gas outflow channel; a variable-capacity mechanism including a first plate and second plate that are attached to the turbine housing and that face each other, and a plurality of variable nozzle vanes arranged between the first plate and the second plate; and a cover member that is arranged on the diametrally outer side of the cylinder part, that faces the second plate in an axial direction, and that forms part of the scroll flow channel. The cover member is attached to the turbine housing so that a gap is formed between the cover member and the second plate.
