Abstract:
A virtual desktop (VDI) resource allocation determination device for determining the resource allocation of a VDI device according to an embodiment is provided with: an input unit which receives performance requirements that define the performance to be met by a VDI device, and a specified time period that indicates the time period for which the performance requirements are to be met; a resource allocation collection and storage unit which stores a current resource allocation that includes the number of virtual machines owned by the host of the VDI device and virtual computational resources allocated to the virtual machines; a workload collection and storage unit which stores workloads for the VDI device; and a computational function unit which applies the specified time period and the workloads to a workload prediction model to calculate the workload for the specified time period, then applies the workload for the specified time period and the current resource allocation to a performance model to calculate a first performance of the VDI device, and determines whether or not the first performance meets the performance requirements.
