Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle control method to be executed by a processor which controls an own vehicle, the method comprising: acquiring, from a sensor which detects a state around the own vehicle, detection data on another vehicle traveling in an adjacent lane adjacent to a traveling lane in which the own vehicle travels; setting on the adjacent lane, on the basis of a positional relationship between the own vehicle and the other vehicle, a target point for the own vehicle to change lanes from the traveling lane to the adjacent lane, specifying another vehicle located behind the target point as a rear vehicle, and starting, when a rear end of the own vehicle is located ahead of a front end of the rear vehicle, the blinking of a direction indicator of the own vehicle.
