Abstract:

A vehicle seat (10) is configured in such a manner that a deformable section (32) is continuously extended from the edge of an installation hole (28) to the outside thereof. As a result, when a fastening bolt (40) elastically deforms the deformable section (32), the deformable section (32) is unlikely to be deformed in a pressing and expanding manner but is deformed in a crushing manner. This means that when a small contact pressing force acts on a side surface (32D), the deformable section (32) is unlikely to be elastically deformed and an impact load applied to a seatback frame (44) can be stably absorbed by the deformable section (32). Also, the impact load applied to the seatback frame (44) can be continuously absorbed by the deformable section (32) because the deformable section (32) is continuously deformed. As a result, the impact load applied to the seatback frame (44) can be efficiently absorbed by the deformable section (32).
