Abstract:
Provided is a structure for a vehicle seat which is configured so that, when a drive unit moves in association with the movement of a seat back, a rotating body is rotated by being pressed by the seat back, and the structure can keep the vehicle seat compact.
A seat is provided with a link mechanism for associating the movement of a drive unit with the movement of a seat back which folds down toward a seat cushion. The seat back and the seat cushion are connected by a connection bracket disposed at a side of both the seat back and the seat cushion in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. The vehicle seat is provided with a transmission member which rotates in order to associate the movement of the drive unit with the movement of the seat back. The transmission member is located adjacent to the connection bracket in the widthwise direction of the vehicle and is rotated by being pressed by the seat back which folds down toward the seat cushion. The portion of the transmission member which is pressed by the seat back is located on the outside of the outer edge of the connection bracket.
