Abstract:

Provided is a vehicular entry and exit assistance device with a simplified operation of moving a board between a storage position and a usage position for improved ease of use. A vehicular entry and exit assistance device (1) according to the present invention includes a board (10) which is provided on an outer side in the vehicle width direction of a seat (104) adjacent to a door aperture in a vehicle (V) and which is rotatable between a horizontal attitude (P1) and an orthogonal attitude (P2), a board support part (20) rotatable between a seat-lateral position (P1) and a forward or rearward flip-up position (P2), and a linking mechanism (50) that links the rotation of the board support part (20) and the board (10). The board (10) is pivotally supported about an axis (16) orthogonal to the vehicle width direction, the support part (20) is pivotally supported about an axis (26) extending in the vehicle width direction, and the linking mechanism (50) is configured such that when the support part (20) is rotated to the flip-up position, the board (10) rotates inwardly in the vehicle width direction relative to the support part (20) and assumes the orthogonal attitude, and when the support part (20) is rotated to the seat-lateral position, the board (10) rotates outwardly in the vehicle width direction relative to the support part (20) and assumes the horizontal attitude.
