Abstract:
Provided is a vehicular power transmission device that is provided with a hydraulic power transmission device and that is able to have a shorter overall length in the axial direction. The vehicular power transmission device (12) is, at a power transmission pathway between an engine (14) and a drive wheel (16), provided with: a torque converter (18) having a rear cover (38) to which a plurality of pump blades (40) are provided and a turbine (42) to which a plurality of turbine blades (44) that receive fluid flow from the pump blades (40) are provided; and an automatic transmission (20) that transmits, to a subsequent stage, power input from the torque converter (18) to an input shaft (48). Also, an engine connection/disconnection clutch (K0) and a lock-up clutch (120) are each disposed on the engine (14) side from the turbine blades (44) within the rear cover (38) that functions as an outer shell. The lock-up clutch (120) is configured from a single-plate clutch.
