Abstract:
Provided are a video output control device and a video output control method that are capable of reducing the possibility that a video required to be encrypted is outputted in an unencrypted state. A first reception unit (40) receives, through a first path, a video and an encryption necessity/unnecessity signal which indicates the necessity/unnecessity of encryption of the video. A second reception unit (44) receives a control signal through a second path different from the first path. A video conversion unit (46) converts the video to be received by the first reception unit (40) into one of an encrypted video different in form from the video and an unencrypted video different in form from the video, in accordance with the control signal. An output control unit (48) controls whether or not to output the video, on the basis of the encryption necessity/unnecessity signal and whether or not the video converted by the video conversion unit (46) has been encrypted.
