Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are a video playing method of a network video client, a video playing method of a local video player, a network video client, a local video player and a smart device. The network video client can receive an instruction for playing a video, send a request for looking up the video respectively to a network video server terminal and a local video player, and receive the corresponding lookup results; if the video is found only by the network video server terminal, the video is obtained from the network video server terminal and played back; if the video is found only by the local video player, the local video player is called to play back the video; if the video is found by both the network video server terminal and the local video player, a mode selection window for selecting either a network video client play mode or a local video player play mode is provided to the user. Therefore, this invention can make full use of the video resources in the network video server terminal and a local storage space.
