Abstract:
The present invention relates to water absorbent resin particles containing a crosslinked polymer having at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylic acids and salts thereof as a monomer unit, in which the proportion of the (meth)acrylic acids and salts thereof to the total monomer units in the crosslinked polymer is 70-100 mol%, wherein the water retention capacity of the water absorbent particles is 40 g/g or more and the total of the water retention capacity (g/g) of the water absorbent resin particles and the water absorption level under load (g/g) at 4.14 kPa is 70 g/g or more.
