Abstract:
Provided is a water treatment system capable of stably limiting deposition of calcium carbonate scale while limiting deposition of silica scale and fouling even when using hard water of very poor water quality. The hard water-softening device (3) is equipped with a cation exchange resin bed and a valve means capable of switching between: a softening process of passing raw water through the cation exchange resin bed with a downward flow; a first regeneration process of generating a downward flow of the regenerant and regenerating the entire cation exchange resin bed; and a second regeneration process of generating an upward flow of the regenerant from the bottom to the middle and regenerating a portion of the cation exchange resin bed. The membrane separation device is equipped with: an RO membrane module (8); a booster pump (6); an inverter (7), which outputs to the booster pump (6) the driving frequency corresponding to an input current value signal; and a control unit (10), which computes a driving frequency so that the permeate (W5) achieves a target flow rate by using the physical mass in the system and outputs the current value signal that corresponds to said driving frequency to the inverter (7).
