Abstract:
Provided is a wire drum-type window regulator in which the wire can be loosely arranged with ease, after which the slack can be removed and then the tension in the wire can be easily and reliably increased. The window regulator for a vehicle is provided with: a wire drum that reciprocally drives a wire; a wire guide that allows a wire path to rotate; and the wire that is wrapped around the wire drum and the wire guide. At least one wire guide has: a flat shape, around the periphery of which the wire is wrapped; a mounting shaft in a direction perpendicular to the flat surface of the wire guide; and an engagement part that maintains, with a fixing section of the regulator, the rotated position of the wire guide. The wire guide is shaped such that the path length of the wire wrapped around the wire guide is longer after rotation of the wire guide about the mounting shaft than before rotation.
