Abstract:
Provided are: a culturing method in which the zeaxanthin-producing capacity and the proliferative capacity of zeaxanthin-producing microorganisms can be maintained, even under a prescribed pressure condition; and a zeaxanthin production method using the culturing method. In the methods, the zeaxanthin-producing microorganisms are cultured in a medium containing a chelating agent, and the zeaxanthin-producing capacity and the proliferative capacity of the microorganisms under the prescribed pressure condition are improved.
