Abstract:
A cutting tool (10) has a tool shank (14) and a replaceable cutting head (12) resiliently secured to the tool shank (14) by an interference fit between a male fixation member (24) of the cutting head (12) and a female fixation member (88) of the tool shank (14). The male fixation member (24) has a resilience slit (28). In each cross section of the cutting tool (10) taken perpendicular to an axis of rotation (L) of the cutting tool (10) through mutual abutment regions (100), the cross sectional profiles of the mutual abutment regions (100) are arcuate sectors.
