Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably humidify a sheet while preventing winding of the sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet humidifier includes: humidification rollers 531a, 531b which humidify a sheet; water supply rollers 532a, 532b which supply water to the humidification rollers 531a, 531b; a drive mechanism 60 which forms a nip part by crimping the humidification rollers 531a, 531b and separates the humidification rollers 531a, 531b; and a control unit which controls the drive mechanism 60 to switch between a first state where the lower humidification roller 531b separates from the upper humidification roller 531a while being brought into contact with the lower water supply roller 532b and a second state where the lower humidification roller 531b brought into contact with the lower water supply roller 532b and the upper humidification roller 531a. The control unit switches the state to the second state while maintaining the state of being brought into contact with the lower humidification roller 531b and the lower water supply roller 532b after passage of a leading end of the sheet through a nip position in the first state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
