Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that can suppress or avoid the possibility of failure such as paper jamming and degradation of recording image quality during overlapped transfer.SOLUTION: The printer 1 includes a first sensor 21 which detects the end position of the medium transported on the upper stream side of the transport roller pair 16 that transports the medium, a second sensor 22 which detects the end position of the medium transported on the upper stream side of the first sensor 21, a control part 20 that can perform overlapped transfer control including overlapping movement that adds succeeding medium P2 on the rear end of the preceding medium P1 that is transferred earlier on the upper stream side of the transfer roller pair 16 and consecutive movement that performs the transfer by the transfer roller pair 16 with the front end of the succeeding medium P2 overlapping the rear end of the preceding medium P1, the control part 20 acquires the movement information about the movement from the detection position A2 by the second sensor 22 at the front end of the preceding medium P1 to the detection position A1 by the first sensor 21 and performs the overlapped transfer control on the basis of the movement information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
