Abstract:
To provide a sheet conveyance apparatus capable of detecting whether or not a failure occurs in a mechanism for moving a push-up plate or a pressure plate when calculating the number of sheets on the pressure sheet.SOLUTION: In a sheet conveyance apparatus, a control unit 6 can receive a first signal and a second signal outputted from a sheet sensor 9 and send a supply command to a power supply circuit SC. Before displacing a push-up plate 13 by controlling a driving unit 4 and moving a pressure plate 12 upward, in a case where the first signal is received from the sheet sensor 9 in response to transmitting the supply command to the power supply circuit SC and when stopping transmitting the supply command and controlling the driving unit 4 to move the push-up plate 13 upward, the control unit 6 notifies a failure if the first signal is not received from the sheet sensor 9 even if a predetermined time has elapsed since the time when transmitting the supply command to the power supply circuit SC was stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
