Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a low density silicone rubber capable of realizing molding with good reproducibility and high production efficiency by injection molding.SOLUTION: The method for producing a low density silicone rubber, includes steps of: transferring an addition curable liquid silicone rubber composition from a material supply pump of an injection molding machine to a mold through a material supply line; joining a hollow filler-containing liquid master oil (C) to the silicone rubber composition from a line different from the material supply line between the transfer paths of the addition curable liquid silicone rubber composition; supplying the silicone rubber composition and the master oil (C) to a cylinder of an injection molding machine, mixing, and measuring by a screw in a cylinder; injecting a mixture of the silicone rubber composition and the master oil (C) into a mold of the injection molding machine; and heating and curing the mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
