To provide an epoxy resin composition which improves the glass transition temperature (Tg) of a cured product and is excellent in flame retardancy.SOLUTION: The flame-retardant epoxy resin composition contains (A) an epoxy resin, (B) a curing agent, (C) a phosphorus-containing compound represented by formula (1), and (D) a flame retardant other than the component (C). In the formula (1), m represents an integer of 1-10; R-Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group which may contains an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a nitrogen atom; X represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; Y represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or -NR-; and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
